FAQ

What are Construction Managers?

Construction management is a professional service that applies effective management techniques to the planning, design and construction of a project from inception to completion for the purpose of controlling time, cost and quality. Construction management is a discipline and management system specifically created to promote the successful execution of capital projects for owners. These projects can be highly complex. Few owners maintain the staff resources necessary to pay close, continuing attention to every detailm— yet these details can "make or break" a project. A professional construction manager can either use their own team or augment the owner's staff with pre-planning, design, construction, engineering and management expertise that can assure the best possible project outcome no matter what type of project delivery method used. How much of the decision making is the owner of the project involved in?

The client is fully involved in the decision process -- in general, clients prefer to be more involved with the interior design decisions, and less involved in the structural decisions.

How much time goes into planning before beginning a job?

That depends on the size of the project -- our motto is plan for an hour and save three hours in the execution.

What is the most fundamental step that needs to be taken at the beginning of a project to avoid technical complications later on?

The budget must be done correctly, and it should be planned out to detail. You must choose the right contractor for the specific project. Prince Construction Management can do all of that for you.

Israeli contractors are stereotypically known for doing sloppy work and/or never finishing the job. How can a private homeowner combat this problem when building/doing renovations?

The stereotype depends on the contractor, and more importantly, depends on who's managing the contractor. With our experience, we choose which contractors we work with, and even then, we supervise and manage them, to make sure they are doing the job correctly and time efficiently. Part of the way we manage them is by the payment plan -- we release the money from the client to the contractor in stages so that the contractor is held to his work.
